Overheard #6 - The Taco Letter

Aidan: Where are we going?

Me: To the mailbox.

A: Why?

Me: Because we need to mail something to Nonnie and Boppa.

A: Why?

Me: Because they left something at the cabin that they need in Florida.

A: Why?

Me: Because sometimes people forget stuff.

A: Why are we mailing it?

Me: So they can have it in Florida.

Silence, finally (the whys are starting to get on my nerves these days...) We pull up to the mailbox, which is next to Taco John's

A: Where are you going?

Me: To put the letter in the mailbox. (Which I then do, and come back to the car.)

A: What does that say?

Me: United States Postal Service

A: No, up there (pointing to the restaurant)

Me: Taco John's

A: (puzzled for a second) Why are you mailing the letter to the taco store?

Egg in a Frame

We had to document this historic event, Aidan eating "egg in a frame" (an old Marr family favorite) for the first time ever! Yes, he has officially outgrown the egg allergy - the soy allergy too! Hooray! He LOVED it, and wants it for every meal.

Bathtime Fun

A Trip to the Lake

We took a trip to Nonnie and Boppa's (sans Nonnie and Boppa - they are in Florida) to relax a little and to have some time away as a family. Here are some pics from the weekend. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pics of skiing, which Aidan is getting quite good at.

Murphy was obviously not too excited to sit in his crunched up spot below the boys' feet.

Murphs and Aidan on the lake.

Happy to be outside!

New Rowie Words

Here are the latest new Rowie words:

Shees = Cheese

Cek = Cake

Toes = Toast and Toes

Mommy = Bunny

Ongey = Hungry

Kiki = Blankie

Konkey = Monkey

And lately, I've noticed the bigger the car, the louder the word. A sedan just gets a "cah" but a bus gets a loud, musical "CAAA-UUUUHH!!!"

We are still also on the fan kick. The following items have been mistaken for a fan in our house: a fish, a spiderweb picture, a flower, the chandelier, and my favorite - Fitty's shirt which has a radial sun-like design on it. Rowan actually reached up and tried to spin the picture one morning. Silly little tot.
