Welcome to the world of allergy testing, where nothing makes sense.
So we went in yesterday for a skin test to confirm a negative result for egg and sesame. They also decided that while we were there, they might as well double check soy and dairy. The skin test came back negative for sesame and SOY, slightly positive for egg and very positive for dairy. Now we need to go back for yet another round of tests: the food challenge. This is where the allergic person tries the allergen in a "controlled" environment. First a dab on the skin, then on the lips, then on the tongue, eating a small amount, progressing to trying more and more. It takes about 3 hours each time, and we need to go twice (once for egg, once for soy). Seems like a pain, but then we will know for sure! Keep your fingers crossed!
